Bel Air, CA. – 42-year-old Walter Lopez Gonzalez of Los Angeles died in a construction accident that happened Tuesday morning in Bel Air, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner said.
The accident occurred around 10:10 a.m. at a construction site in the 10663 block of W. Chalon Road near Lausanne Road.
Details about how the accident transpired were not available. Authorities said at the time of the accident, Gonzalez was near equipment that could have included an auger and a skip loader.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene within minutes, but the worker's injuries were beyond medical help.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation is ongoing.

Los Angeles, CA. – A worker died in an accident involving heavy construction equipment on Tuesday afternoon near Bel Air.
The incident was reported around 12:30 p.m. on a residential job site on the 10600 block of West Chalon Road, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The unidentified worker died at the scene.
The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal-OSHA) and the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating the accident.
