Wapato, WA. – Two Beaverton residents have been identified as victims injured in a traffic collision Friday evening in Wapato.
Sylvie Dale, 53, and 62-year-old James Nicholson were injured in a crash that happened at around 7:20 p.m. on Highway 12.
Dale and Nicholson were hospitalized after a Toyota Corolla they were driving in was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado.

Wapato, WA. – Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision Friday evening in Wapato, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at around 7:20 p.m. on State Route 12.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Clayton Gierke, 28, of Kennewick was attempting to pass a Toyota Corolla when it lost control and hit the Corolla.
The driver and the passenger in the Corolla were injured and they were transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla.
Gierke was not injured.
No additional information about the crash was provided.
An investigation is underway.
