A 20-year-old Santa Maria woman driving east on Stowell Road ran a red light and struck the passenger side of a southbound vehicle with two occupants, the Kerns, on Bradley Road.
Santa Maria, CA. – 68-year-old Randall Richard Kern and Marichu Polancos Kern, 55, were identified as couple killed at an intersection in Santa Maria accident last week Thursday.
The deadly auto-car crash happened at Stowell and Bradley Roads at around 9:15 a.m. August 1.

Santa Maria, CA. – Santa Maria couple killed in a Thursday morning crash at an intersection in Santa Maria has only been identified as 68-year-old man and 55-year-old woman.
The accident happened at around 9:15 a.m. August 1 at Bradley and Stowell Roads.
A preliminary investigation revealed a 20-year-old Santa Maria woman was driving eastbound on Stowell when she apparently ran a red light and collided with a southbound vehicle on Bradley Road.
Both occupants in the southbound car were transported by AMR ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle suffered moderate injuries.
An investigation is underway.
