Apple Valley, CA. – Authorities have released the identity of the motorcyclist killed in an accident in Apple Valley Saturday morning.
Robert Calvin Witt, 68, of Apple Valley was killed in a crash that occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on May 25 on Standing Rock Avenue and Blackfoot Road.
Witt was riding his motorcycle when for unknown reasons he was struck by a Honda Civic.
Witt was pronounced dead at the scene.

Apple Valley, CA – A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Apple Valley on Saturday morning, according to the Apple Valley Police Department.
The crash took place at around 10:30 a.m. in the area of Standing Rock Avenue and Blackfoot Road.
A Honda Civic and a motorcycle were involved in the collision, whose cause was not immediately established.
The rider of the motorcycle died at the scene despite lifesaving measures by the emergency crews.
The Honda reportedly crashed through a chain-link fence and ended up in the yard of a home.
There was no update on the condition of the driver of the Honda.
Both the Honda and the motorcycle were towed from the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
