Two Drivers Injured in Traffic Collision on SR-43 in Hanford

, CA. – Two men were hospitalized after a head-on collision that happened early Sunday morning in Hanford.

The California Highway Patrol said the wreck was reported around 3:30 a.m. on State Route 43 near Grangeville Boulevard.

According to authorities, a 33-year-old man was driving a gold Toyota Camry southbound, approaching Grangeville Boulevard.

At the same time, a 48-year-old man from Hanford was driving a red Peterbilt northbound.

For an unknown reason, the Porterville man veered across the double yellow lines and collided head-on with the Peterbilt.

The 33-year-old man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and got ejected from the Camry. He sustained severe injuries.

The driver of the Peterbilt suffered unspecified injuries.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital for treatment.

CHP officers are investigating the collision.

Hanford, CA. – At least one person was severely injured in a traffic collision involving a gas tanker that happened early Sunday morning in Hanford, the California Highway Patrol said.

The collision occurred around 3:40 a.m. on State Route 43 just north of Grangeville Road.

A gas tanker and another vehicle were involved in the crash.

Kings County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene and found one person inside one of the vehicles and fuel spread across the roadway.

At least one person suffered severe injuries in the accident.

The highway was closed in both directions at Grangeville Boulevard and Avenue 8 1/2.
