Pleasant Hill, CA. – A motorcyclist died after being involved in a collision Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Pleasant Hill, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 6:49 p.m. on Contra Costa Boulevard at Dexter Drive.
An 18-year-old Pleasant resident was riding a motorcycle northbound on Contra Costa Boulevard when he collided with a car turning left onto Dexter Drive from southbound Contra Costa Boulevard.
The motorcyclist was taken to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek with serious injuries. The victim later died from his injuries.
The sole occupant of the car was unhurt and remained at the scene.
The Pleasant Hill Police Department is investigating the accident.

Pleasant Hill, CA.- A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision that occurred in Pleasant Hill on Wednesday night, according to the Pleasant Hill Police Department.
The incident took place on Contra Costa Boulevard and Dexter Drive at about 6:40 p.m. October 23.
Police said a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Contra Costa Boulevard when they collided with a southbound vehicle that was making a turn onto Dexter Drive.
The motorcyclist was transported to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek for treatment of serious injuries.
The other driver was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
