Acton, CA. – The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the man who died in a two-vehicle accident that happened Monday evening in Acton as 76-year-old Roderick Thomas.
The crash was reported around 6:27 p.m. on Sierra Highway and San Gabriel Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a dark-colored pickup truck and a white Nissan Sentra were involved in the collision. The Nissan split in half.
Thomas was driving the Nissan and was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters.
The driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized with unknown injuries.
CHP officers are investigating the accident.
