Van Nuys, CA. – The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has identified 61-year-old Mark Morey as a pedestrian killed in a crash early Wednesday morning at an intersection in Van Nuys.
Morey was struck by a westbound car at the intersection of Hazeltine Avenue and Burbank Boulevard at around 11:30 p.m. September 18.
Morey was declared dead at the crash site.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
The cause of the mishap remains under investigation.

Van Nuys, CA.- A pedestrian was fatally struck at an intersection in Van Nuys late Wednesday night.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the wreck happened at around 11:30 p.m. at Hazeltine Avenue and Burbank Boulevard.
According to witnesses, the driver was traveling west on Burbank Boulevard when for unknown reasons they hit the victim, police said.
The unidentified victim was declared deceased at scene.
The driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with police.
No further details regarding the mishap were provided.
