, CA. – 48-year-old William Ceballos Morales has been identified as the man who died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Cathedral City.

According to the Cathedral City Police Department, the Cathedral City resident may have experienced a medical emergency before crashing his car into two other vehicles.

The accident was reported around 1:15 p.m. on Vista Chino at Avenida Quintana near the entrance to the Desert Princess community.

Authorities said Morales was driving his car east on Vista Chino when he experienced a medical emergency and drifted into the westbound lanes, where he collided with two other vehicles.

Morales was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of one of the other cars was hospitalized with minor injuries. The other motorist was not hurt.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Cathedral City, CA.- A 48-year-old man from Cathedral City died following a multi-vehicle collision on Vista Chino on Thursday afternoon, according to the Cathedral City Police Department.

The wreck took place near Avenida Quintana at about 1:15 p.m.

Police said the man was driving eastbound on Vista Chino when he suffered a medical emergency and swerved into the westbound side, where he collided with two other cars.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His name was not released pending notification of the next of kin.

The driver of one of the others cars was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

An investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
