A woman was driving a 2015 Volkswagen EOS westbound on Camino Del Sur when she drifted into the bike lane and hit a bicyclist
San Diego, CA – The San Diego County Coroner's Office has identified 60-year-old James Michael Osmus of San Diego as a bicyclist killed in a Friday evening crash on Camino Del Sur in San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred in the 15700 block of Camino Del Sur near Casey Glen Lane at around 6:49 p.m. on November 22.
Osmus was riding a bicycle l in the 15700 block of Camino Del Sur when suddenly a Volkswagen veered into the bike lane and struck him.
Osmus was declared dead at the scene.
The driver involved remained at the crash site and cooperated with the officers.
The cause of the mishap remains under investigation.

According to San Diego Police, the accident occurred around 6:47 p.m. on Camino Del Sur near Casey Glen Lane.
A 50-year-old woman was driving a 2015 Volkswagen EOS westbound on Camino Del Sur when she drifted into the bike lane for unknown reasons and hit a bicyclist.
The male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say alcohol was not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
