Hong Nguyen Dies in Fountain Valley Accident at Magnolia Street

Fountain Valley, CA – 25-year-old Hong Ngoc Nguyen was identified as a woman killed in a car crash at Magnolia Street in Fountain Valley Monday night.

The Fountain Valley Police Department responded to the crash at around 10 p.m. December 2 near Magnolia Street and Ellis Avenue.

Reportedly, the police pursuit began as an arson investigation. The suspect 43-year-old Timothy Bradford Cole was going 90 miles per hour in a Dodge Ram truck when it ran a red light at Magnolia and Ellis and crashed into a BMW SVU operated by Nguyen.

Nguyen was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of her passengers were listed in critical and stable condition.

Cole was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Once released, Cole is expected to be booked on a number of felony charges.

Before the deadly crash, Cole had set a fire at his future brother-in-law's house in Fountain Valley by pouring lighter fluid onto the front yard.

An investigation is underway.

Fountain Valley, CA – A 25-year-old female passenger was killled in a traffic collision that injured four other people Monday night near Ellis Avenue in Fountain Valley.

The collision occurred at around 10 p.m. near Ellis Avenue and Magnolia Street, according to the Fountain Valley Police Department.

Reportedly, the police initiated a pursuit to 43-year-old Timothy Bradford Cole, of , when he drove at a high rate of speed against a red traffic light westbound Ellis Avenue through Magnolia Street and collided with the BMW traveling northbound on Magnolia Street.

The three occupants of the BMW were transported to a local trauma center, and the suspect was transported to a trauma center in .

A 25-year-old female passenger from Huntington Beach in the BMW was pronounced deceased on the way to the hospital.

The two victims were listed in critical and stable condition, and the suspect had serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No additional details regarding the mishap were provided.
