, CA – The pedestrian killed in a crash at an intersection in San Diego Thursday morning has been identified by medics as 35-year-old Gregory Bruce Carr Jr.
The crash was reported at around 6:14 a.m. December 12 at Chatsworth at Boulevard and Nimitz Boulevard.

Carr Jr. was walking across the intersection when he was hit by a sedan.

Carr Jr. was rushed to UCSD Medical Center Emergency Department, where he died upon arrival arrival.

The driver behind the wheel stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
The crash is being investigated.

San Diego, CA. – A pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning near an intersection in Point Loma, San Diego police reported.

The incident occurred around 6:18 a.m. on Nimitz Boulevard near Chatsworth Boulevard.

Police officers and firefighters responded to the scene after receiving reports of a pedestrian accident with serious injuries.

The responders found an unconscious male pedestrian with a serious head injury. The man was taken to UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest, where he later died from his injuries, San Diego Fire-Rescue said.

The man was reportedly crossing the street when he was hit by a red Kia.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
