A 36-year-old Porterville man was driving a gray 2016 Ram 3500 eastbound on Elmo Highway when it collided with a silver 1993 Toyota Camry traveling northbound on Scofield Avenue.
Bakersfield, CA. – The Kern County Coroner's Office identified as 62-year-old Filamer Barayuga Simpliciano of Delano as one of three victims killed in a traffic collision at an intersection in Wasco last night week Friday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said on October 14, 2024, at around 4:26 p.m., they received reports regarding a deadly two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Scofield Avenue and Elmo Highway.

Simpliciano and two others were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
