Pasco, Wash. – 16-year-old Ethan Vargas was identified as a teen fatally injured in crash on 82 Freeway in Pasco early Tuesday morning.

Vargas was moving southbound from the right shoulder of the road when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.

Vargas was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pasco, Wash. – A boy teen was killed in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 82 in Pasco early Tuesday morning.

According to the Washington State Police, the collision happened just before 4 a.m. on 82 Freeway near Road 100.

Investigators said the teen was moving southbound from the right shoulder of the road when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.

The police said the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers. No arrests were made.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately established.
