Apple Valley, CA. – 29-year- old Daniel Stuardo Perez has been identified by the coroner's office as victim killed in Apple Valley crash on Bear Valley Road Saturday afternoon.
The crash was reported at Bear Valley Road near Kiowa Road at around 4:02 p.m. on June 29.
Perez was driving an eastbound Toyota Corolla on Bear Valley Road near Kiowa Road when he attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot and collided with the patrol vehicle.
Perez was declared dead at the scene while the police officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.

Apple Valley, CA. – One person was killed in a car accident on Saturday afternoon on Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley.
According to a police report, the incident was reported at about 4:04 p.m. June 29, on Bear Valley Road, west of Kiowa Road.
A red four-door sedan collided with a police patrol car in unclear circumstances.
One person in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The officer suffered minor injuries.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
No additional details regarding the mishap were provided.
