, CA. – Authorities have released the name of a 29-year-old Boron resident killed in a pedestrian crash on US 99 in Bakersfield last month.

Bryan Adan Cruz was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on State Route 99 near Lerdo Highway at around 1:38 a.m. on May 31.

Cruz was hit by a driver in unclear circumstances. The driver left the scene before the officers arrived.

Cruz was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Bakersfield, CA. – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver last month on in Bakersfield.

According to a police report, the wreck happened at around 1:38 a.m. on May 31 on the northbound State Route 99 just north of Lerdo Highway.

Reportedly, a pedestrian was walking north on the northbound lanes of the highway when they were hit by a vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The victim, whose identity was not released died at the scene.

More information about the crash was not provided.

An investigation is underway.
