Fresno, CA – Four people were killed and two others injured in a suspected DUI crash at an intersection in Fresno Friday night.
The CHP received reports regarding the incident at the intersection of Shaw and Floyd Avenues just after 10:30 p.m. January 10.
Officers say a van heading south on Floyd was pulling out of a two-way stop when it collided with a Nissan heading West on Shaw.
The Nissan crashed into the driver's side of the van, causing it to flip on its side. Both cars caught on fire as a result of the crash.
The driver and one passenger in the van, as well as the driver and one passenger of the Nissan Altima, were declared dead at the scene.
Two other passengers inside the van suffered minor injuries.
Authorities believe alcohol and drugs may be a factor in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 10:37 p.m. on Shaw Avenue near Floyd Avenue.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision, but the events leading up to the accident were not immediately determined.
