Police said 11 vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation.

Glendale, AZ. – Three persons were hospitalized following a chain-reaction collision on Thursday morning in Glendale, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The collision occurred on eastbound Loop 101 near 67th Avenue a while after 7:00 a.m. on June 27.
Police said 11 vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation.
Three persons were injured in the collision. The three patients were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Officials said speed and lack of attention could have played a role in the accident.
Police closed multiple lanes of the freeway following the collision. The lanes are now open.
An investigation is ongoing.
