According to the police report, Piatt was traveling west on the eastbound shoulder when he swerved into the eastbound lane and was struck by a 1989 Ford F-250 driven by Richard A. Blue, 70, of Packwood.
Glenoma, WA. – 42-year-old Trenton L. Piatt, of Glenoma was identified as bicyclist killed in a Wednesday afternoon crash on Highway 12 in Glenoma.
According to the Washington State Police, the crash happened at around 1:52 p.m. October 30 on State Route 12 near mile marker 105.
According to the police report, Piatt was traveling west on the eastbound shoulder when he swerved into the eastbound lane and was struck by a 1989 Ford F-250 driven by Richard A. Blue, 70, of Packwood.
Piatt was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Blue was not injured.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be the cause of the incident.
No further information about the collision was reported.
The incident is being investigated.
