Teen Hurt in West Point Crash on Highway 26

West Point, California (June 21, 2023) – A teenage bicycle rider was struck and injured by a vehicle in West Point last week on Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on Highway 26 west of Niderost Lane at about 5:30 p.m. June 15.

CHP said a 15-year-old West Point boy was riding a bike when he was hit by a truck. It’s unclear what led up to the crash.

The teen was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries.

The driver of the truck, Todd Cardoso, 54, of Sacramento, was not injured and remained at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
