The authorities said a woman was driving a pickup truck with her three children in the vehicle when she crashed into a tow truck on the side of the freeway
Mesa, AZ. – Tate and Evie Porter have been identified as the children who were killed when a woman collided with a tow truck in Mesa on Wednesday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The wreck happened on Loop 202 near McKellips Road at around 10:15 a.m. October 23.
The authorities said a woman was driving a pickup truck with her three children in the vehicle when she crashed into a tow truck on the side of the freeway.
The crash left two children, Tate and Evie, deceased at the scene.
A third child and the 36-year-old mother were hospitalized with minor to major injuries.
The driver of the tow truck was uninjured.
The westbound lanes of the freeway were shut down for hours as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
