Police said a 20-year-old woman was driving a 2009 Honda Accord at a high rate of speed when she collided with a skateboarder and left the scene
San Diego, CA – A skateboard rider was injured in a collision involving a hit-and-run driver in the Fox Canyon neighborhood of San Diego on Thursday night, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The accident took place in the 3600 block of Euclid Avenue at about 11:52 p.m. June 6.
Police said a 20-year-old woman was driving a 2009 Honda Accord at a high rate of speed when she collided with a skateboarder and left the scene.
She was then involved in a second collision in the 2500 block of 46th Street and also left the scene.
The skateboarder was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The hit-and-run driver was later located and arrested in the area of Fairmount Avenue near I-8.
The accident is under investigation.
