The man driving the Chrysler and his female passenger were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Thermal, CA. – 51-year-old Shuru Zhang, of La Puente, has been identified as the woman who died in a collision involving a wrong-way driver in Thermal on Friday night.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the accident happened on Highway 86 near 66th Avenue at around 9 p.m.
A black Chrysler was traveling the wrong way when it collided head-on with a white Honda Civic operated by Zhang.
Zhang was killed in the collision.
The 20-year-old man driving the Chrysler and his 18-year-old female passenger were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Chrysler was arrested for felony DUI.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
