Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Sherman Oaks Accident on 405 Freeway near Mulholland Drive
Sherman Oaks, California (August 15, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of an alleged Sherman Oaks hit-and-run collision that left a motorcyclist hurt Tuesday afternoon, August 10.
The motorcycle accident took place on the Interstate 405 Freeway near the Mulholland Drive exit at approximately 12:51 p.m.
As per the CHP report, a motorcyclist was hit by a black Ford F-150 in the center lanes of the southbound 405 Freeway under unclear circumstances.
Sherman Oaks Motorcycle Accident
The motorcyclist, whose name was not revealed, sustained unknown injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for medication.
After the accident, the Ford male driver attempted to flee, but he was pursued by many good Samaritans who pulled him onto the right shoulder and took his keys.
The CHP said the suspect's vehicle had many open alcohol containers.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
