At Least 1 Hospitalized After Riverside Semi-Truck Accident on State Route 60 near Pyrite Street
Riverside, California (June 23, 2023) – At least one person was hospitalized with severe injuries after a semi-truck accident that happened early Friday morning in Riverside.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred at about 12:34 a.m. on eastbound State Route 60 west of Pyrite Street.
Authorities said the driver of a semi-truck called 911 reporting that they struck another vehicle. The driver said they suffered a hand injury and required medical assessment.
The other vehicle involved was a possible Ford Mustang, and overturned onto its roof.
Officers and medical personnel responded to the scene shortly after the collision.
At least one person was taken to a hospital with severe injuries, as per the report.
Tire debris was scattered in all traffic lanes.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
