Los Angeles, CA. – A man riding a scooter died after being struck by a car on Saturday morning in Canoga Park.
The deadly collision happened around 11:37 a.m. on Owensmouth Avenue near Vanowen Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A 17-year-old driver was leaving the mall, making a right turn, when he hit the scooter rider.
The rider, a 40-year-old man, was trapped under an SUV and was extricated but sadly succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
