Sang Lee ID'd as Pedestrian Killed in Phelan Accident on US 138
Phelan, CA – The San Bernardino County Coroner's Office has identified 65-year-old Sang Ho Lee of Phelan as a pedestrian killed in a crash on Highway 138 in Phelan two weeks ago.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the mishap happened at around 5:36 p.m. on November 12 on State Route 138 west of 15 Freeway, near Dusty Lane.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a gray 2024 Tesla Model 3, driven by Mira Loma man at about 65 mph, struck Lee, who was walking in the same lane.
Lee sustained major injuries and died at the scene, while the driver was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center and is expected to recover.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the CHP Inland Division.
