1 Sustains Minor Injuries in San Diego Car Crash on Highway 52 near Interstate 805
San Diego, California (September 10, 2021) – One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a car collision that occurred Thursday evening in San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck took place at about 8:09 p.m. on westbound Highway 52 near Interstate 805.
Two vehicles of unknown make and model collided under unclear circumstances. One of them overturned on the right-hand shoulder after the first impact.
A party reporting the accident said they were trying to open the door of one of the cars to help an elderly female party who was in the driver's seat.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the No. 2 lane.
One person who suffered minor injuries in the collision was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
