Ruth Kigo Dies in Tacoma Pedestrian Crash on South G and 72nd Streets
Tacoma, WA.- A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle in Tacoma last week on Wednesday, according to the Tacoma Police Department.
The incident took place on South G and 72nd Streets at around 5 p.m. December 5.
According to police, Ruth Kigo, 66, was crossing the street in an unmarked crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle.
Kigo was killed in the accident.
Drugs or alcohol were suspected to have played a role in the accident and the woman driving the involved vehicle was arrested.
The incident is under investigation.
