Reportedly, Haynie, 66, was driving as 2002 Ford Explorer south on South Nogales Highway when he crossed the center line near South Old Nogales Highway and collided head on with a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe headed north.
Tucson, AZ. – Roger Haynie, 66, and 72-year-old Eliva Soto were identified as victims killed in a Friday evening head-on collision in South Tucson, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
The crash occurred at around 7:15 p.m. September 13 on South Nogales Highway near South Old Nogales Highway.
Reportedly, Haynie, 66, was driving as 2002 Ford Explorer south on South Nogales Highway when he crossed the center line near South Old Nogales Highway and collided head on with a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe headed north.
Haynie and Hyundai passenger, Soto, were declared deceased at the crash site.
The Hyundai driver was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
The incidents is still being investigated
