Fullerton, CA.- A motorcycle rider was killed in a crash at an intersection in Fullerton on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Fullerton Police Department.
The wreck took place on West Commonwealth and North Basque avenues at around 3:11 p.m.
Police said the motorcyclist, riding a black 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was heading west on West Commonwealth Avenue when he tried to stop for traffic ahead and was ejected onto the eastbound lanes.
The rider was then hit by an eastbound gray 2021 Toyota RAV4 driven by a 47-year-old man.
The motorcyclist died in the accident. His name was not released pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the incident, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
