Fontana, CA. – 64-year-old, Richard Pshock has been identified as the innocent driver who died in a collision involving a driver who was fleeing from the police in Fontana on Wednesday morning.
The fatal collision happened at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Beech Avenue at around 1:23 p.m., according to the CHP.
Noe Banuelos of Long Beach was behind the wheel of a white Jeep Cherokee that was traveling northbound on 15 Freeway at high speeds.
A CHP officer pulled over the Jeep but Banuelos failed to yield and sped westbound on Beech Avenue before he crashed into a red Ford Mustang that was traveling southbound on Cherry Avenue.
Pshock had been driving the Mustang and was pronounced dead by the San Bernardino County Fire Department medical personnel who responded to the scene.
Banuelos was injured in the crash and was transported to Arrowhead Regional Hospital.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
