Rachel Marquez Killed in Bakersfield Car Crash

, California (October 30, 2023) – The Kern County Coroner's Office identified 58-year-old Rachel Ann Marquez as a woman killed in a crash Wednesday evening in Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Police Department said the deadly traffic crash happened at around 5:12 p.m. October 25 in the 6400 block of Wilson Road.

Responding crews located two vehicles in the area. The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately established.

Marquez was severely injured and was later pronounced deceased.

The other motorist was not injured. They stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers.

Impairment was not believed to have played a role in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
