Investigators said the woman was walking in a crosswalk when she was hit by a car attempting to make a left turn onto MacArthur Boulevard from Birch Street.

Santa Ana, CA. – A 25-year-old woman died after she was struck by a car Thursday afternoon while crossing the street near an intersection in Santa Ana.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the accident occurred just before 1 p.m. at MacArthur Boulevard and Birch Street.
Investigators said the woman was walking in a crosswalk when she was hit by a car attempting to make a left turn onto MacArthur Boulevard from Birch Street.
Emergency personnel took the victim to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver involved in the accident stopped and remained at the scene.
Authorities said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be contributing factors.
