The pedestrian died after being run over by multiple vehicles on southbound Highway 101 near Grand Avenue

San Francisco, Calif. – A man was killed Tuesday evening in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101 in San Francisco, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash happened at about 7 p.m. on southbound U.S. Highway 101 north of the Grand Avenue offramp.

CHP says the pedestrian, described as a Hispanic man aged between 30 to 40 years, was struck by multiple vehicles and was killed.
The crash impacted all the southbound lanes of the highway, with CHP opening the slow lane only to allow vehicles to pass.
The name of the victim was not immediately released.
The incident remains under investigation.
