The accident occurred around 7:38 p.m. on the Rosemead Boulevard on-ramp to the eastbound State Route 60.

South El Monte, CA. – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle Saturday afternoon in South El Monte, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred around 7:38 p.m. on the Rosemead Boulevard on-ramp to the eastbound State Route 60.
A driver called 911 reporting that they had hit a pedestrian.
Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after the incident.
The firefighters found the victim suffering from head and back injuries, as well as a broken left leg. The patient was hospitalized in unknown condition.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
