Tehachapi, CA. – A pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night near an intersection in Tehachapi.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred around 9:24 p.m. on Highway 202, also known as West Valley Boulevard, near Cummings Valley Road.
Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the area for reasons still under investigation.
Highway 202 near Cummings Valley Road was shut down to allow a helicopter to land and airlift the victim to the hospital. The pedestrian sustained major injuries.
