A motorcycle struck a pedestrian in the area for unknown reasons.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcycle rider sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Southeast Powell Boulevard was closed from Southeast 66th Avenue to Southeast 70th Avenue during the investigation.
An investigation is underway.
