Santa Barbara, CA. – A driver of a car hit and killed a pedestrian then fled the scene late Saturday night in Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara Police Department said.
The accident took place around 11:30 p.m. on the 800 block of Cliff Drive, near Loma Alta Drive.
Police officers responded to the scene and found an adult male pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle. The man died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver involved fled the scene after the collision. As of midday Sunday, police officers were still searching for the suspect driver. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the watch commander's office at 805-897-2376 or police dispatch at 805-882-8900.
