Alameda, CA.- A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle in Alameda on Wednesday evening, according to the Alameda Police Department.
The crash happened on Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway and Coral Sea Street at about 6:30 p.m. January 15.
According to police, a woman was trying to cross Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway when she was struck by a car that was making a westbound turn.
The victim, a 59-year-old Alameda woman, was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver, a 70-year-old Alameda man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
An investigation into the deadly Alameda crash is ongoing.
