Bellingham, WA. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Bellingham on Tuesday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash happened on Interstate 5 near Northwest Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m. January 7.
According to the report, a vehicle hit a pedestrian on the southbound side of I-5 under unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian died following the accident.
The victim was not immediately identified.
Both sides of I-5 were shut down as authorities investigated the incident.
The crash remained under investigation.
