Pedestrian Killed in Merced Crash on 15th Street

Merced, California (November 6, 2023) – The Merced Police Department is investigating a deadly pedestrian accident that took place on Friday morning in Merced.

According to the report, the crash happened in the area of West 15th Street and M Street at about 9:18 a.m. November 3.

Police said a Ford F-150 driven by a Merced man was traveling eastbound on West 15th Street when it stopped at the four-way intersection. The driver entered the intersection and struck a man who stepped into the roadway.

The victim, a 64-year-old Merced man, was rushed to a trauma center, where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver stayed at the scene after the accident.

The crash is under investigation.
