Phelan, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car late Monday afternoon at an intersection in Phelan.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place around 5:42 p.m. at Johnson Road and Smoke Tree Road.
A pedestrian was hit by a white Dodge Ram under unclear circumstances.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and offered life-saving measures to the victim. The pedestrian was, however, pronounced dead at the scene at 5:59 p.m.
A representative from the office of San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner responded to the scene following the fatal accident.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
