Yuma, AZ. – On early Tuesday morning, authorities received reports on a deadly pedestrian accident in Yuma.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal auto-pedestrian crash happened at around 6:12 a.m. on the eastbound 44th Street.

Per the report, a 2003 Toyota Sequoia, traveling eastbound on 44th Street, collided with a pedestrian walking in the same direction for unknown reasons.

The victim was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center, where they later died while receiving treatment.

The identity of the deceased was upheld pending notification of the next of kin.

More details about the collision were not provided.
