The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred around 8:18 p.m. on State Route 160 at the Royal Oaks Drive off-ramp.
Two vehicles, including a possible motorcycle, were involved in the crash.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and took one person to the hospital with major injuries.
Several traffic lanes were shut down following the collision.
