Sacramento, CA. – One person was killed in a traffic collision that happened early Tuesday morning on 80 Freeway in north Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported around 2:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the Northgate Boulevard on-ramp.
The report said a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
Firefighters responded and pronounced one person dead at the scene.
The manner and cause of the accident remained unknown.
The exact number of vehicles involved was unclear, but two cars were towed away from the scene.
