Authorities said two passenger cars and a Freightliner big rig were involved in the crash. One of the cars spun out of control and ended up in a nearby orchard.

Lebec, CA. – One person was hospitalized after a big rig accident that took place Wednesday evening in Lebec, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place around 7:54 p.m. on northbound State Route 99, just north of the Interstate 5 split.
Authorities said two passenger cars and a Freightliner big rig were involved in the crash. One of the cars spun out of control and ended up in a nearby orchard.
The report said a white Honda was traveling at high speeds prior to the collision.
Firefighters and Hall Ambulance personnel responded to the scene and transported one person to Kern Medical with unspecified injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
