Oakland police say a person was struck by a black sedan after getting out of another vehicle on Highway 13

Oakland, Calif. – One was hit and killed by a vehicle on Highway 13 in Oakland late Sunday night.
The deadly crash was reported at about 10:46 p.m. on southbound Highway 13, just south of Lincoln Avenue.
According to the Oakland Police Department, a party called saying his friend had been struck by a black sedan.
Oakland police learned that a person was struck by the sedan after getting out of another vehicle.
As per the police, the person who was struck succumbed to their injuries. It was clear if the vehicle from which the victim alighted was in the roadway.
The police did not say whether the victim died at the scene or at a hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
