Lebec, California (November 4, 2023) – At least one person was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash along in Lebec on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 1:14 p.m. on 5 Freeway, just south of Quail Lake Road.

Responding crews located a gray sedan, a Porsche, and a semi-truck. The semi was jackknifed across No. 1 and No. 2 lanes.

A witness told the CHP that the big rig was going at approximately 70 mph before it crashed into the Porsche.

Authorities say at least one person was seriously injured in the crash.

No additional information regarding the crash was provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
