Officer Hurt in Coronado Crash on 6th Street J/Alameda
Coronado, California (July 3, 2023) – A police officer was injured in a crash with a suspected DUI motorist in Coronado on Sunday morning, according to the authorities.
The crash happened on 6th Street J/Alameda at around 9 a.m. July 2.
Authorities said the officer was responding to another incident when he was hit by an SUV that was pulling out of the 6th Street J/Alameda alley.
The officer was ejected from his motorcycle and he crashed onto the windshield of the SUV.
According to the report, the officer was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The incident is under investigation.
